I have been working in Arts Management since 2012, when I became Dorset Project Manager for Artist Sue Austins' 'Creating the Spectacle!' Freewheeling project featuring the groundbreaking Underwater Wheelchair We created a series of videos and a live performance event for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad as part of the Unlimited Funding project. 'Finding the Flame' was commissioned by LOCOG for the Paralympic opening ceremony. I managed the filming trips as well as the Dorset arm of the project. Subsequently I organised the first International Performance of the Underwater Wheelchair at the Grenzenlos Festival in Mainz Germany as well as speaking tours, and 360 video shoots in Egypt. The project gathered international acclaim and was featured in the Global press including the Guardian newspaper. The artwork has been viewed by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. You can check out the videos below.
My subsequent work has specialised in large scale Volunteer Management. I have recruited and organised the volunteers for Activate Performing Arts' Inside Out Dorset Festival of outdoor performing arts in 2016 & 2018 as well as delivering the volunteer programme for Danny Boyles' 'Pages of the Sea' in Lyme Regis and Weymouth and the stunning visit of the 2019 Dorset Moon. I commonly support over 75 volunteers at each series of events
